Buying my first bow, what should I look for?

I've recently become interested in archery and I'm looking to buy my first bow. What specifically should I look for? Also, what type of arrows/quiver would be a good choice? Money is not a big issue, but as this is my first bow, I don't expect to spend a real large amount. I'm willing to spend around $200 or so.

If your budget is $200 dollars then you will probably want to go with a used bow. There are different types of bows for different uses like Hunting a competitive archery. Without knowing which one you plan to get into, then I cant give you to much info. The only thing I can tell you is do a lot of shopping around and research. The first thing you need to do is learn about archery. It sounds to me that you are almost clueless about the sport. So the best advice I can give you is to read about it online or go to a local archery shop and talk to the people there. I can tell you though that you need to find a bow that fits. by fit I mean something that is your Draw Length. You find your draw length by spreading your arms out to your sides and having someone measure from middle finger tip too middle finger tip of the other hand. Than you take that number in inches and divide it by 2.5 and you will have an estimate. In order to get your exact draw length you need to go to an archery shop to get measured.

@ten minutes late. You really dont want to be taking your bow to a sporting goods store like that. Most of the time the ''pros'' they have working on the bows have never even been to a bow technition certification class. If it is just a cheap bow like the one he is interested in then it might be ok to take it there, but there is no way in hell I would take my x-force over to them. Just as a general rule, never let anyone make any adjustment to your bow unless you trust them comepletly or they have been through bow technition classes.
