henna on leather?? Need answers for TOMORROW! ?

I want to do henna on a piece of leather that i will be using for an Arrow Quiver. It's soft leather because its being wrapped around something, not sturdy leather that would be used as the whole quiver. What can i use to pre-draw out my design before i henna it that would not be left there when i took the henna off? i heard you can use watercolor pencils on your skin when you do that...thing is, you wash it off your skin so naturally the pencil would come off but you dont use water on the leather right? do you just chip it off the leather when its done? SO i guess in a nutshell, what can be used to pre draw the design and how do you get the henna offf the leather? and can you get it wet? Thanks!!

Sorry for a late answer, but chalk or light pencil marks would probably work, I use either on drumheads. Water pencils would probably work too, and you can rub the marks off with oil instead of water. A little bit of water on a cloth would probably be ok, though. For something you can bend, I would just rub and twist the leather to help break the henna off, but you can scrape it off with a plastic knife or spoon, then use oil or damp cloth to get the rest off.

It may take a long time for the henna to penetrate and stain leather well. I leave paste on drums for at least a month, so I would say at least a week for soft leather.
