Need help choosing first bow?
I want to get into archery and I want to buy a Recurve Bow. I have never shot a bow before. I'm looking to just shoot recreationally and maybe hunt some Small Game (squirrels, rabbits, etc) when I get a good enough aim. I'm on a limited budget so I've narrowed down my choices down to three bows.
Pse Razorback
PSE Kingfisher
Martin Jaguar
Can anyone tell which one would be a better choice for me? Also could you recommend a draw weight for me to choose. These bows go from 20lb up to bout 55 lb. I'm 23, 5'7 and 170 lbs so I'm not really growing anymore, if that helps.
The Kingfisher was originally designed for bow fishing. I would go with the Razorback. All the reviews of the Razorback was a full 5 stars.
The Jaguar had a problem with limbs breaking. The Razorback had no problems at all.
I would advice you first go to an archery club or store to find out your draw weight. Since it is your first bow, maybe you should go with the lighter draw weight. That way it will be easier for you to develop proper form as you shoot the bow, allowing you to become more accurate with it faster.
