I'm looking for the right type of bow to get into archery - but which one?

I would like to purchase a Compound Bow, as I admire their technology and minimal recoil. I am against the use of any mechanical release aids and wish to use my current Shooting Glove with this new bow (a more Traditional release). Are there any bows around that have a less acute full draw string angle (less finger pinch)? I am quite tall and have a large Draw Length. Help!!!

Have you tried Olympic recurve? Got most of the gadgets that comes on a compound, except for the wheels, but are longer than compounds. Most likely you'd need a 70" bow to get a nice string angle, that is if you're as tall as I think you are.

Another option is to switch to finger tabs. You can get a cavalier finger tab and install a finger spacer on it. Someone I know used to shoot compound fingers, he has a 30" draw and he was using a cavalier tab with a thick spacer that he made himself.
