Can I clip a Bow Release right on to my string or do I need a loop ?

You can shoot your release right on your string. If you do, put a nocking point below as well as above the arrow so the release doesn't push the arrow nock off the string when you draw the bow. They also make Eliminator Buttons for the same purpose. They are just small barrel shaped pieces of rubber that stop the release from contacting the arrow nock. They just slide over the string up to where you nock your arrow. You can put 3 or 4 on your string at the same time and as one wears out you can slide the next one up into place without having to unstring and restring your bow.
