kayak like a dagger blackwater?

I am looking for a boat that is 10' or 10' 5''. Something like the dagger blackwater, I would get that one but they don't make it anymore. I want it to be that red and yellow swirl color. I don't want a skeg or rudder. I don't want it to be very wide. I don't want a pelican or any cheap brand. I want it to be fast and agile in the water. It has to have a padded adjustable seat and foot pegs. It has to be plastic, no wood or inflatable. I want it to have a fairly small cockpit. I am light so the weight is not a problem. I want it to have a lot of storage space, bow and stern waterproof compartments. I don't want them to be those ones where it is a small compartment. I want it so it is the entire stern and bow if possible for storage. I want it to be fairly lite(under 50lbs). And I want it to be under a grand.

It's a little bit longer than what you state (almost 15' by 22" wide) but I will recommend the Venture Easky 15LV. There is a reason Olympic whitewater slalom boats are 12' long. The fact is that if you want speed and agility you need it to be narrow and if you want bulkhead packing of any size AND the right flotation you have to make up the volume you lose on width with length.

I have an Easky 15LV and it is a terrific boat (it is my 7th kayak so I have a lot of experience to compare it to). Weighs only 46 lbs, is well built (made in England, not China like most plastic boats), super comfortable seat with a convertible adjustable back, solid adjustable foot pegs and thigh hooks (really help control and stablize the boat). Has two good sized hatches, front and rear and full deck rigging. Even has the mounting holes and hardware installed for a rudder if you ever want to add one (though I don't think it needs it). And it comes in a dark flame red-orange shaded color -- very sharp looking kayak that always turns people's heads when I am ouot. Even though it is technically considered a "touring" boat, I've used it in big lakes, deep wide rivers and fast shallow streams with riffle and class 1 rapids, even bouncing it off rocks and scraping across gravel bars. It is a lot of fun to paddle in all conditions, accelerates and tracks well and can be edge turned. I would not hesitate to even take it out in the Great Lakes or coastal Atlantic -- it handles waves and tall boat wakes really well, either blasting straight through or surfing them. I've got a couple of fancier more expensive boats but this has become my favorite.

I know the Blackwater and it is a granny sled compared to this boat. The Blackwaters were polypropolene, too, and did not hold up well (it gets brittle with age.) At 28" wide you might as well have been paddling a refrigerator. If that's what you've used in the past, test-paddling an Easky will be a revelation.

List price is $1,050 but I got mine last summer for 30 % off (around $750 with tax). The outfitter I bought it from near Pittsburgh still has a couple in stock for that price. As far as "bang for the buck" I think it is one of the best kayaks available.
