Ultra Light Flyer?

I know it sounds a little ridiculous, and I don't want to hear about how I can't do it, but I plan on building and flying an ultra-light. It's a project for my last summer before college. I'm on a budget, too. I already know the regulations of an ultra-light, and I have the determination and skills to build one myself. This is just a starting point, a place to get potential ideas, blueprints, designs, etc. I plan to triple check all of my research.
So the question is, WHERE DO I START?

Take a look at the airbike, everyone has an opinion about which is best. One big concern is which type of construction suits you. If you are not already a member, you will almost certainly want to join the EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) Their location is Oshkosh, WI. They have plenty of stuff on the Internet. You will want to find a local chapter, you will find, comaradary, exchange of ideas, Help with regulations. The big yearly convention and airshow is at Oshkosh. . Sun and Fun is in Florida. I have been to about 35 of the last 37 shows at Oshkosh. It's kind of additive to us wing nuts. Let me know if your coming, I'll leave a light on.
