I want the quietest bow on earth?

On my Fred Bear Element I have a junk sight that im replacing with a Cobra EZ slide sight. An old stabilizer, a Trophy Ridge Drop Zone rest, i shot 350 Carbon Express maxima hunters. im thinking about putting on the magnetic knocks? Have u tried them? What do you think or suggest? I also would like to know what kind of things you have put on your bow to make it a lot quieter? any suggestions would be appreciated!

The best way to get a quiet bow is to remove all of the mechanical stuff and use a heavy (10 gr per lb of draw weight) arrow. The majority of "bow noise" is generated when the limbs and string vibrate because the arrow is too light in mass to absorb the energy of the bow; the rest of the noise is from the "pinging", "creaking", "squeeking" and other assorted noises caused by mechanical gadgets.

I shoot longbow, off the arrow shelf without any gadgets whatsoever, and my bow is so quiet the only noise it makes is the whisper of the arrow passing across the shelf -- and when the arrow hits the target.

I would rather have a "slow", but very quiet, bow than a "fast", but very loud, bow any day. Sound travels much faster than any arrow -- and game animals such as deer and elk have extremely excellent hearing!

Besides, all those "silencing" gizmos do is add weight to the bow and the string -- and added weight means reduced performance, which in turn means reduced arrow speed to begin with.
