How to describe the motion of a knife stabbing through skin?

I'm writing a story about a huntress who tames wild cats. She has a cat on top of her pinning her down by her shoulders and her bow is out of reach. I want to describe the motion and response of the cat after she stabs it in the side (possibly with knives that retract from her boots).

So far i've only got the ideas of the "blade piercing through its soft skin".

Any help?

The cat has to react like this: Hairs stood on end as the cat screeched a piercing meow, his/her back arched up like a bridge as the cold blunt blade entered forcing the cat to snarl viciously. Or you can just say: Ouch, tiggly wigs has scarpered, oops did I just stab the furry shit ball?
