How long should a Recurve Bowstring be?

I have recently been given a Petron S1 Recurve Bow, but somewhere along the way the bowstring got lost. I was just wondering how to find out what length of bowstring I need to buy? I found written on the limbs "Petron S1 Standard Limbs" and then

62" ---- #
64" 36 #
66" ---- #
68" 34 #
70" ---- #

but I have no idea what it means. (As you can probably tell, I'm completely new to archery) Any help would be appreciated.

You need to go to a bow shop and get the correct length.
The length of the string will determine the pull and the bow was designed to have a specific string, it can be dangerous to use the wrong length.
Take a tape measure, with the bow unstrung, measure the length from tip to tip. This will either hit around 64" or 68". That is your bow length, when buying a string, you simply say I want an AMO 64" 36# string if your bow end up being 64" long with poundage 36# or AMO 68" 34# string, if the bow end up being 68" long with poundage 34#.
