What is your personal hell?

Of course, we know our blessings, being heathy is the most important of all. But just for the sake of a mind game, I started to write down a list of things that would certainly make up for my personal hell and here it is:
- Not having Internet access
- Not drinking coffee throughout the day
- Seeing all my computer files out of order
- Being forced to wear really colourful clothes from fashion designers
- Being obliged to wake up early and going to sleep early
- Having to attend “gargantuesque” lunches
- Not being able to take a nap in the afternoon
- Being forbidden to play pinball every now and then
- Having someone sleeping in my bed with day clothes
- Being forbidden to do archery
- Waiting in queues
- Having to go to discotheques and talking loudly with friends that can’t hear me because of the noise
- When in the countryside, not walking every morning in the forests
These are just some of the little things that would make my life hell… What’s your list?

Everyone's list is different due to personal taste, culture, heritage and natural inclination, but I believe that I could sum up your list, mine, and everyone else's with one simple entry:

Being absolutely controlled.

Your list (as well as mine, and I am sure all those who have commented thus far) can be boiled down to a simple equation:

(Joy) / (Exterior Control) = (Personal Hell)

Example: to you, having Internet Access is a joy to you. If that joy is divided by another's tyrannic imposition, you are left bereft of joy, and thus in your personal Hell. This formula applies to all the entries you have given: when through another's mandate or the destructive course of nature certain joys, blessings, and benefits you currently enjoy are so manipulated, changed, denied, and mutated, it yields the same miserable end.

The only place that this equation does not work is in one's own mind. Exterior Control cannot function there: only one's own conscience has that ability. That is why one can live in hellish circumstances, but be devoid of Hell within. To validate this point I reference the writings of Viktor E. Frankl.

Perhaps this is an excursus and I have over-thought the question. I personally do not mind the vicissitudes of life, and its general mutability: that seems to be the catalyst for much of my creative work. It would be Hell, however, if I were denied the outlets of music, art, poetry, or language to vent my feelings productively.
